Christmas Pendants

This pendant was designed after one of my favorite Christmas movies, a classic: "It's a Wonderful Life". Remember this quote? So please feel free to ring a bell every chance you get 'cause when you do, an angel gets his (or her) wings!

This pendant says it all and He is the reason for the season! Let us not get so wrapped up in all the buying of the presents and getting so stressed out trying to make everything so perfect. Now don't get me wrong, I love getting gifts just as much as anyone else, but spending time with my family is the best part (and my Mama's & two older daughter's cooking)!

I love this piece, it's so cutesy! I love polka dots! Hope ya'll like these pieces. Thanks :)

Grinch Christmas Ornament

Well all, Thanksgiving has come & gone (I'm still stuffed!) and today is "Black Friday". I did not venture out into that shopping craziness instead, I stayed home and put up my Christmas tree & decorations. Speaking of...here is an ornament I made using a rectangle piece of wood. I painted the wood piece a color green I call "Grinch Green", then trimmed the picture I wanted to use of The Grinch after I adhered it to the wood using the gloss glaze and then covered the entire piece with the glaze. After that dried (I usually like to give it a full day or two) I used small eye screws at the top & bottom; made some bead dangles for the bottom; tied some cute ribbon at the top & then I had some of these curley ornament hooks that I think add a whimsical effect...and voila'...a new additon to my many handmade ornaments that are on my tree that have either been made by me or my 3 beautiful daughters.

Thanksgiving Jewelry

TGIF! Well, Thanksgiving is next week. I can't believe how fast it's coming. So, I decided to make some jewelry for the occasion. The earrings are made from Scrabble Tiles and feature a glass bead on the top & bottom. And I made these for my mom so I used the posts versus the hooks because she likes the posts better.

The pendant features Snoopy! And this piece is made with the larger wood pieces that I purchased from Hobby Lobby (which by the way I should buy stock in since I go there like every other day..lol!). I go to Michael's too I might add. I'd be lost without these two stores! :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Finally the wait is almost over, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows-Part I is almost here! In honor of this event, I've made me some jewelry to wear when I go to see it. Here are the earrings but I made two different type pendants: one is made out of the Scrabble tiles like the earrings are and the other one is made from a larger wooden piece with two dangles attached to it. Not sure which I will wear first...lol...:)

Large Fairy Pendant

I saw this graphic and thought this would make such a cute and unique piece. This is made with a larger wood piece, adhered with the Triple Thick Gloss and then after trimming the excess picture around the edges the gloss is applied all over (I usually put on 2 coats, but even with one coat it's still shiny). Then I have these tiny eye screws that I put in the bottom so that I can create and attach the "dangles", this one has a mini faery and a pink glass bead dangle. And then lastly is the glue on bail. I want this one for me but I will most likely be making one for my oldest daughter who is also a faery lover like me...Hey Chelle! :)

Skull & Crossbones & Domo

Skull & Crossbones Earrings
This is a pair of earrings and a matching keychain that I think is cute with the little pink bow...kinda of a cutesy rocker vibe...

Witch Hat Cookies

Hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween. I loved all the scary movies that were on tv, I tried to see as many of them as I could :) I know these last couple of posts have not been about jewelry but I thought I'd share this little treat I found on Craftily Ever After. They looked so cute and were extremely easy to make. I made these for my daughter Crystal's Halloween party. You just get some of those Fudge Stripe cookies, squeeze some of that decorating icing in the middle and plop a Hershey's Kiss on top & add some sprinkles and there you go! Cute & easy treat!
