Valentine's Day Scrabble Tile Jewelry

Well, Valentine's Day is almost here. So of course I HAD to make a couple of pieces for the occasion. I made a matching set of earrings and a pendant of red with white polka dots (I told ya'll I like polka dots, rememeber?) LOL. The second pic is of the polka dot earrings close up & I detailed these with clear faceted glass beads. And then I made some lip print earrings and detailed those with faceted red glass beads. Whatcha think? Hope everybody has a great Valentine's Day....love to my bloggy buddies!! :)

Happy New Year!

Hey everybody! Well, this will be my last post for the year so, in honor of the new year (yep, you guessed it) I made some Scrabble Tile Earrings and a matching bracelet. I will be wearing these tonight! I used the "Edwardian Script" font and I wanted the tiles to be in black & white. After I applied the shiney gloss, I applied like four tiny crystals to give them some sparkle.

Then I wanted something for my hair, but I couldn't decide if I wanted a cute headband or a barrette clip, so I made both. The headband is gold glitter; I made the "bow" out of gold & silver tulle and tied with some gold bow wire then curled the excess. The bow barrette clip I used some white glittery ribbon and attached the bow with my hot glue gun to a tiny alligator clip. Now I just need to decide which one I want to wear! LOL....Hope everyone has a super fun, and SAFE New Year's Eve! See ya'll next year!

Candy Cane Reindeer

Say hello to my little reindeer friends...lol. I've been meaning to make these for the past couple of weeks & just now got around to it. They're super simple: just take a candy cane & wrap a brown pipe cleaner around the top & bend to shape. Glue on a tiny red pompom for the nose, wiggle eyes and a bow. I used my trusty glue gun but you can use whatever type of glue/adhesive you prefer to work with. They're so cute! Don't ya'll think? ;)

Pearl Stretch Ring

This is a really simple piece of jewelry to make plus I think it's really cute (of course)...lol...I strung 14 mini glass pearls on .7mm clear stretch cord, placed a pale pink crystal glass bead in the center with a silver daisy spacer on either side and tied a knot...and there you go! I really love pearls, by the way. ;)

Christmas Scrabble Tile Pendants & Earrings

Hey ya'll...here are some cute Christmas pendant gifts that I made for the ladies at the office. I hope they like them!

And I also made some Christmas earrings as well...a variety of designs...I like all of these for myself! Lol :)

Santa Claus I Believe Bracelet

Ok, so I made another "I Believe" Christmas bracelet using some "whimsical" type glass beads that I found at the Bead Cage store. And I added a little silver dangle that has the word "Imagine" stamped into it. Also, you probably can't see them but there are tiny silver star beads too. Do ya'll like this Whimsical I Believe Santa Bracelet? You know I do!...lol;)

And this other one is a Christmas beaded bracelet to which I added a small silver jingle bell.

Christmas Pendants

This pendant was designed after one of my favorite Christmas movies, a classic: "It's a Wonderful Life". Remember this quote? So please feel free to ring a bell every chance you get 'cause when you do, an angel gets his (or her) wings!

This pendant says it all and He is the reason for the season! Let us not get so wrapped up in all the buying of the presents and getting so stressed out trying to make everything so perfect. Now don't get me wrong, I love getting gifts just as much as anyone else, but spending time with my family is the best part (and my Mama's & two older daughter's cooking)!

I love this piece, it's so cutesy! I love polka dots! Hope ya'll like these pieces. Thanks :)

Grinch Christmas Ornament

Well all, Thanksgiving has come & gone (I'm still stuffed!) and today is "Black Friday". I did not venture out into that shopping craziness instead, I stayed home and put up my Christmas tree & decorations. Speaking of...here is an ornament I made using a rectangle piece of wood. I painted the wood piece a color green I call "Grinch Green", then trimmed the picture I wanted to use of The Grinch after I adhered it to the wood using the gloss glaze and then covered the entire piece with the glaze. After that dried (I usually like to give it a full day or two) I used small eye screws at the top & bottom; made some bead dangles for the bottom; tied some cute ribbon at the top & then I had some of these curley ornament hooks that I think add a whimsical effect...and voila'...a new additon to my many handmade ornaments that are on my tree that have either been made by me or my 3 beautiful daughters.

Thanksgiving Jewelry

TGIF! Well, Thanksgiving is next week. I can't believe how fast it's coming. So, I decided to make some jewelry for the occasion. The earrings are made from Scrabble Tiles and feature a glass bead on the top & bottom. And I made these for my mom so I used the posts versus the hooks because she likes the posts better.

The pendant features Snoopy! And this piece is made with the larger wood pieces that I purchased from Hobby Lobby (which by the way I should buy stock in since I go there like every other day..lol!). I go to Michael's too I might add. I'd be lost without these two stores! :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Finally the wait is almost over, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows-Part I is almost here! In honor of this event, I've made me some jewelry to wear when I go to see it. Here are the earrings but I made two different type pendants: one is made out of the Scrabble tiles like the earrings are and the other one is made from a larger wooden piece with two dangles attached to it. Not sure which I will wear first...lol...:)

Large Fairy Pendant

I saw this graphic and thought this would make such a cute and unique piece. This is made with a larger wood piece, adhered with the Triple Thick Gloss and then after trimming the excess picture around the edges the gloss is applied all over (I usually put on 2 coats, but even with one coat it's still shiny). Then I have these tiny eye screws that I put in the bottom so that I can create and attach the "dangles", this one has a mini faery and a pink glass bead dangle. And then lastly is the glue on bail. I want this one for me but I will most likely be making one for my oldest daughter who is also a faery lover like me...Hey Chelle! :)

Skull & Crossbones & Domo

Skull & Crossbones Earrings
This is a pair of earrings and a matching keychain that I think is cute with the little pink bow...kinda of a cutesy rocker vibe...

A "Domo" Pendant...Grrr! :)

Witch Hat Cookies

Hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween. I loved all the scary movies that were on tv, I tried to see as many of them as I could :) I know these last couple of posts have not been about jewelry but I thought I'd share this little treat I found on Craftily Ever After. They looked so cute and were extremely easy to make. I made these for my daughter Crystal's Halloween party. You just get some of those Fudge Stripe cookies, squeeze some of that decorating icing in the middle and plop a Hershey's Kiss on top & add some sprinkles and there you go! Cute & easy treat!

Fairy Garden

Hello fellow bloggers, TGIF! I wanted to show you my Fairy Garden that I made. I love faeries, have quite a collection of figurines, dolls, pictures & of course, jewelry. First I had to find my items. I found this planter at Hobby Lobby, I don't remember what I paid for it but it was really inexpensive ($10 or less), it was on clearance. I already had the fairy figurine in my collection. I found the sleeping gnome & the polka dot mushroom at Target & the "foliage" at the Dollar Tree. I just filled the planter with potting soil and arranged my items just so....and now I have my very own faerie garden to enjoy :)
